Mission & Commitment
The Department of Youth and Community Development (DYCD) is committed to connecting young people and communities with learning and development opportunities. DYCD administers the Summer Youth Employment Program (SYEP), Beacon programs, after-school programs, and a wide range of community development services. DYCD's racial equity goals focus on ensuring equitable access to youth programming, expanding opportunity in underserved communities, and building a diverse workforce.
