Mission & Commitment

The Department of Investigation (DOI) investigates and refers for prosecution matters involving fraud, corruption, and other misconduct by City employees, contractors, and vendors. DOI's racial equity goals focus on ensuring equitable and accountable investigations, building a diverse workforce, expanding oversight of law enforcement conduct, and increasing transparency in government accountability processes.

Undertake reforms in DOI’s hiring and selection process that are specifically intended to reduce racial disparities in hiring outcomes
