Mission & Commitment

The Mayor's Office of Management and Budget (OMB) oversees the City's budget. OMB's racial equity goals include advancing pay equity across all roles to address the effects of occupational segregation and gender discrimination, building disaggregated data pipelines to track equity in the City's fiscal operations, and ensuring the City's budget allocations reflect equity priorities. OMB is a member of the Pay Equity Cabinet working with DCAS and OLR to examine potential pay inequity across the City workforce.

Short-Term Goals

Integrate racial equity into the budgeting process by encouraging city agencies to factor equity into budgetary planning and decision-making consistent with mayoral directives and in compliance with federal, state, and local laws.
